Case Study: Delivering a Horsch Pronto 10 NT Seeding Complex from Germany to Poltava Region

The task: An agricultural enterprise from the Poltava region purchased a wide-span disc seeding complex, the Horsch Pronto 10 NT, in Schwandorf — a town in eastern Bavaria where a Horsch machinery dealer is based. Along with the complex came a set of large agricultural tires. The task was to deliver all of it from Germany to Ukraine within four days, before the sowing work began.

What made it complicated: The Horsch Pronto 10 NT in transport position is a machine with a 10-meter working width, folded vertically. A large seed-and-fertilizer hopper, the folded wings of the coulter section, hydraulics, cables — all of it sticks out in different directions and demands a careful approach to lashing. The tires are separate — on a pallet, secured with straps, and not the easiest cargo either.

How it was secured: The machinery was placed on an open-side curtain semi-trailer — this makes it possible to run straps under the frame and through the machine’s own structural lashing points. Yellow and red straps ran in several rows: under the frame, across the hopper, over the folded sections. Before departure, the driver went over every lashing point — no play anywhere. The tires on the pallet were secured separately.

Result: The Horsch Pronto 10 NT seeding complex arrived in the Poltava region on August 7 undamaged. The client received the machinery fully ready — unfold it, connect it, and into the field. This is exactly what the delivery of farm machinery should look like: no dents, no bent coulters, no surprises at unloading.
