🚛 Route: Eskişehir, Turkey → Kyiv, Ukraine
⚡️ Cargo: EMSA industrial generator, 2,750 kW, out-of-gauge (10×2.5×4 m)
🏭 Client: a Ukrainian industrial enterprise ⏱ Result: delivered in 72 hours instead of the planned 10 days
✅ Customs clearance: completed by June 1 in line with the client’s requirements
The task: A Ukrainian manufacturing enterprise commissioned the delivery of a 2,750 kW EMSA industrial generator from a plant in Eskişehir. A hard deadline — customs clearance in Ukraine by June 1. The site depended critically on getting this equipment running, and any delay meant a production stoppage.
Where the problem arose: The Turkish plant pushed back the shipment several times. When it finally confirmed readiness, it turned out that loading would finish on the 25th — and on the 26th, Eid al-Adha begins in Turkey. During the holiday, the country imposes a full ban on oversized transport moving on public roads. If the road train didn’t leave before midnight, the generator would be stuck in Turkey for at least 10 days. For the client, that meant direct financial losses from downtime, plus the cost of guarding and holding the specialized vehicle.
What we did: The plant finished loading at 16:00. At that point the export declaration hadn’t even been opened yet. The brokers processed customs clearance in 5 hours — by 21:00 the full package of export documents was ready. By 22:00 the specialized transport was already in the queue to leave Turkey. In parallel, our logisticians reworked the route and switched the movement to a ferry connection — to bypass the congested standard highways and avoid risking a delay en route. The client received photo and video updates every 6 hours — with no calls asking “where’s my cargo?”
Result: The generator reached Kyiv in 72 hours — three times faster than the standard timeline for oversized cargo like this. Customs clearance went through on time, and production started on schedule. Eid al-Adha stayed just a holiday on the calendar.
