Case Study: Delivery of a Cummins Stamford Generator and Mercedes-Benz V-Class from Germany to Kyiv for a Humanitarian Mission

Task: Organize the international transportation of a Cummins Stamford X2.7TAA-G8 generator and a Mercedes-Benz V 250 d 4MATIC Style Lang from Sittensen (Germany) to Kyiv. The cargo was intended for a humanitarian organization, making fast delivery, safe transportation, and efficient use of the logistics budget the key requirements.

Challenge: The customer needed to deliver two different types of cargo to Ukraine simultaneously — a diesel generator and a passenger vehicle. Arranging separate shipments would have significantly increased both costs and delivery times. An additional challenge was the proper placement of the generator and the vehicle within a single semi-trailer, taking into account their dimensions, weight, and securing requirements.

Solution: Ukrautologistic Group proposed a combined transportation solution using a single curtain-sided semi-trailer. During loading, the cargo placement scheme was carefully calculated to ensure that both the generator and the vehicle could be safely transported in one vehicle without exceeding the permissible axle load limits. Separate securing points and additional fixation measures were used for each cargo unit. This approach eliminated unused trailer space and optimized logistics costs without compromising transportation safety.

Result: The Cummins Stamford X2.7TAA-G8 generator and the Mercedes-Benz V 250 d 4MATIC Style Lang were delivered to Kyiv in a single shipment within 5 days. The cargo arrived without damage, and the humanitarian organization received both the equipment and the vehicle simultaneously, allowing them to be put into operation immediately upon arrival.
